Ethos and learning values
Ethos
As a church school in the Diocese of Hereford Multi Academy Trust our Christian vision of “Be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love” (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)
is central to all aspects of life at Bitterley School. We have a warm welcoming and family atmosphere evident in all aspects of school life.
At Bitterley Primary School our priority is to develop a love of learning, inspired by quality teaching by building and developing upon all of our individual talents. We work tirelessly to ensure that our children enjoy a stimulating and diverse education; children are happy, feel safe and are valued. Learning experiences are rich and enjoyable.
School Values
At Bitterley school, every individual is valued for who they are and what they contribute to the school. Values support the personal, social and spiritual development of every pupil throughout the school. We want these values to be ‘living the values’. We believe that they are values which are important within the school community and which will also be important throughout life.
Pupils are encouraged to apply our learning values of:
Enthusiasm

Determination

Perseverance

Creativity

Collaboration

in all of their lessons as well as the wider life of school.
Through values we aim to:
